My name is Evanelly Garcia, I’m a First generation Mexican American artist who was born and raised in La Puente. My artwork is influenced by the diversity of my culture as well as the day to day struggles and sacrifices of my people, notably my parents, who serve as the voice and image of my work. This collection is dedicated to those who left their homes and loved ones out of necessity, not knowing when they would return or even if they would make it safely. They had faith, and that is strength. We are the strength. This is a representation of my parents' story, as well as the stories of many others who have had to do the same.
